~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ My Regular Reads
- 2009-08-29 - 1:51 p.m. As I sit here being annoyed that Jake hasn't updated his Facebook all week - I remember last week. I worked on a call with him again on a two-day gig - I was on electrics crew, he was the electrics crew department head. Monday and Tuesday. Two things stick in my head. One is how, on Monday night, I was up late, about to sign off and shower and go to sleep, and he came online to Facebook. So I chastised him "Dude, you should totally be asleep." After a minute he hadn't replied, I simply said "Me, too" and started to sign off, and then he replied (simultaneous with me) "I am asleep." So I typed "okay then" and he typed "zzzzzzzzz." And I signed off. So the next day he came near me and I jested to him, "You've been facebooking in your sleep, you should know." He snickered, stood by me, then moments later, he mumbled something about "Oh, yeah, I remember that, something about that, you did..." I don't remember exactly what it was but it was like he was trying to make like he didn't remember at first when it was obvious that he did. Sometimes he pretends to take less notice of me than he does. It's real important for him to give me the impression I'm nothing to him sometimes. The other thing that sticks in my head is when he stepped off a chair almost on top of me and I vocalized "Oh!" He froze, not wanting to hurt me or get in my way, meanwhile I was frozen in motion from bumping right into him and wishing he'd move on, so I grabbed his midsection (sides, back, torso) with both hands and guided him gently into motion ahead of me saying "You're fine." And he giggled at that, like he enjoyed being touched by me. Speaking of giggling, there was another time he giggled - it was strange and I thought it wasn't him but there wasn't anyone else it could have been. One male crew member asked another female crew member if she was "doing that Scottish guy." It was obvious he meant was she working on the Scottish guy's show, but I just took it for what it was and jested to her, "Ann, are you doing some Scottish guy?" Just at that moment is when Jake passed between us and that's when he giggled at what I'd said. He's a funny boy. As of two days ago I've lost 50 pounds in 5 months. I'm still a BMI of 32 which is still obese. I weigh 235, and I'm still dieting to reach my goal. Honestly, I do fine not seeing him for weeks but as soon as I see him again, I'm instantly addicted.
