You know, about that strange moment outside the car when he just stood next to the backseat door and looked at me for way too long - I keep thinking that it could be this that I wouldn't have imagined that strong a response from.

Years ago now, I went in to work on a show in the Upstairs Theatre and someone had left behind a bag of gel. Jake said he didn't know who had left it, but he said he was giving it to me. So he gave me the bag of gel and I've had it ever since, use it from time to time, too. It's been in the trunk of my car pretty religiously for the most part.

That bag was in the backseat of my car. I confess, I put it there for him to maybe see it, when I went back to the car to remove my bra from the front seat, but I didn't expect such a major reaction. Honestly didn't really necessarily expect him to even see it or recognize it or remember it. Could that really have been such a strong matter for him? Was he accusing me, gauging me, amazed about something, what?

Ugh.

I can't help wondering, at the same time, about whether the previous owner of that bag has anything to do with this scenario, but that's just too much.
