Jake did the unimaginable. First of all, he blogged at Myspace. Secondly, when I commented, he replied. He replied.

"I'm glad you're not dead."
"I look forward to seeing you in Hell."

Hahahaha.

Opera's starting, he's being nice. I'm having a hard time climbing back on that doomed ride again though.

A talk with my brother at a bar tonight stirs in me the old "life is short, so better get busy living or get busy dying" thing.

He - my brother - has become romantic about his girlfriend. He's given her some of the stuff from the movie. She tried to break with him, he sent her a dozen roses, said he was going to fight for her, says he loves her so might as well go for it. She is still wishy-washy and so now he's confused about what to do next - keep sloshing it on or write it all off.

I wish I were pretty enough to deserve all that. Just once in my life, the fairy tale.
