For the first time ever, Jake replied to a text message from me. :-O What's more, it was kind of weird.

(meaning obviously me, I'm always being assigned color and one of the last times he saw me I was doing color and he called me "Color Whore" and I said I knew he'd give me a hard time about it. So the reply of)

Jake: Who

(left me completely baffled. on the one hand, yay to get a message from him. on the other, way to ruin a wry inside joke.)

I sent him a picture of me doing color.

I don't think it matters if you don't know what "doing color" is.
